Base Salary
$169k - $305k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and support solutions that improve efficient and streamlined infrastructure processes.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor while driving code quality standards and architectural decisions.
- Collaborate on deployment standards and processes and maintain related documentation.
- Build, test, and design automation tools, including Bash scripts, Python programs, and Slack bots.
- Define service-level objectives for network infrastructure to support high availability and performance.
- Investigate and troubleshoot complex network-related problems with support, operations, and engineering teams, including participation in on-call rotations.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Network Engineering, Software Engineering, or DevOps roles involving large-scale distributed systems.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, load balancing, and firewall concepts.
- Advanced proficiency with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Salt Stack, Chef, or Puppet.
- Experience with Linux networking at the userspace level and open-source networking software such as FRR, Bird, or goBGP.
- Experience developing applications, contributing to codebases, conducting code reviews, and writing scripts with Python, Bash, Go, or Rust.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD.
