Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated pipelines for ingesting, packaging, and distributing developer tooling.
- Manage software tool ingestion using Jenkins pipelines and Golang applications, including conversion into portable archive formats.
- Create Docker builder images for GitLab CI/CD pipelines and runtime base images for applications.
- Write and manage Developer Tooling configuration for installing and configuring software on end-user devices.
- Own, manage, and support the Docker Desktop product across Barclays.
- Download and create SCCM packages for software tools used across Barclays.
- Design, implement, and maintain mechanisms for delivering and updating Visual Studio on end-user devices.
- Develop and maintain Go CLI applications, metrics reports, dashboards, documentation, and training materials for Developer Tooling.
- Collaborate in code and design reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical presentations.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience implementing changes from solution design and coding through production release.
- Proficiency in software engineering with Java, Golang, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL databases.
- Experience using Git and GitLab to automate build, test, and deployment pipelines.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code using CloudFormation or Terraform for AWS applications.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or AWS ECS with EC2 or Fargate.
- Ability to develop and maintain software tooling, pipelines, configurations, and supporting documentation.
- Ability to prepare and deliver training sessions and develop usage metrics and dashboards.
- Ability to participate in peer reviews, knowledge sharing, and presentations.
