Responsibilities
- Design and manage Apigee X API proxies, shared flows, target servers, and environment groups.
- Configure GCP networking components including VPCs, Private Service Connect, load balancers, and Cloud Armor.
- Implement OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, API key, and custom authorization security policies.
- Manage API keys, certificates, and credentials using GCP Secret Manager and Apigee Key-Value Maps.
- Configure TLS/mTLS and backend routing for internal and external target endpoints.
- Build and maintain Apigee deployment pipelines across development, staging, and production environments.
- Perform API testing, trace request and response flows, troubleshoot latency, and debug production proxy issues.
- Configure monitoring, logging, dashboards, and operational alerting for API health.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience with Apigee X architecture, API proxies, KVMs, and GCP networking infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of OAuth 2.0 flows, JWT token validation, API security, and API key management.
- Practical experience with GCP Secret Manager, HashiCorp Vault, or Apigee KVMs.
- Hands-on expertise with backend target servers, mTLS, and SSL/TLS certificate management.
- Experience automating Apigee deployments across multiple environments using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Cloud Build, or Terraform.
- Proficiency with Postman, Bruno, curl, and native Apigee tracing and debugging tools.
- Prior exposure to enterprise financial systems or treasury platforms such as Kyriba APIs is preferred.
- Experience with Google Apps Script for operational integrations or custom workflows is preferred.
- Experience configuring GCP Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and proactive API health alerting dashboards is preferred.
