Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable Java-based platform components that integrate internal and external systems and process data.
- Build and support applications for a global portfolio of Private Markets funds and businesses.
- Coordinate application lifecycle activities, including access management, security, disaster recovery, day-to-day support, and workflow management.
- Analyze data, identify quality issues, and develop data cleansing and transformation strategies.
- Collaborate with global teams, technical specialists, business stakeholders, and vendors to execute technology strategy.
- Maintain documentation and knowledge articles and ensure IT governance aligns with company policies and regulations.
- Define and implement best practices, solution patterns, and standards for the area of expertise.
- Identify and implement potential business use cases for AI, ML, Generative AI, and LLM-based solutions while applying responsible data and AI judgment.
Requirements
- 12–14+ years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot or similar technologies.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or MSSQL.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and scalable application architectures.
- Experience with at least one public cloud platform: GCP, Azure, or AWS.
- Experience in a business-aligned IT department of a financial institution.
- Experience with software development lifecycle practices and enterprise application technologies.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience with application migration from on-premises or private cloud environments to public cloud is preferred.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, QlikView, Qlik Sense, Power BI, Looker, or SAP BOBJ is preferred.
- Experience with vendor-hosted SaaS solutions, Identity and Access Management, application governance, risk frameworks, and control environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with finance, asset management, and alternative investments is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, collaboration, learning, and independent-working abilities.
- Experience with solution patterns utilizing LLMs and the ability to use AI tools responsibly to improve productivity and solve business problems.
