Base Salary

$80k - $133k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to design, build, and deliver ArcGIS Enterprise capabilities for self-managed Kubernetes clusters.
  • Research and test features offered by Red Hat OpenShift, VMware Tanzu, and RKE2.
  • Contribute to the design of cloud-native microservices-based software.
  • Develop automated tests and drive quality assurance processes.
  • Plan, execute, and certify software releases.
  • Prioritize and triage customer software issues.
  • Create and share documentation, help topics, blog posts, conference presentations, tutorials, and samples.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience deploying and managing stateful and stateless applications in self-managed Kubernetes clusters.
  • Experience automating infrastructure and application provisioning with scripting and templating.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based Kubernetes services such as ROSA and ARO.
  • Background in software testing and/or software development.
  • Strong understanding of private cloud environments, Linux networking, and Kubernetes service meshes.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs through scripting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, GIS, geography, or a related field.
  • Preferred familiarity with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, or similar spatial technologies.
  • Preferred ability to design and implement UI or web-service test plans and automation using Selenium, JMeter, or ReadyAPI.
  • Preferred understanding of Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, GKE, OpenShift, Tanzu, and RKE2.
  • Preferred experience with deployment automation and infrastructure as code using Bash, Jenkins, Helm, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
  • Preferred knowledge of relational databases including SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or DB2.
  • Preferred experience using Java, Python, or similar scripting languages to build and deliver production-quality software.
