Base Salary
$200k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural decisions and technical reviews for infrastructure-critical initiatives.
- Design, build, and own AWS or GCP cloud infrastructure spanning compute, networking, storage, and observability.
- Develop scalable harnesses that enable coding agents to operate reliably without compromising system stability or code quality.
- Partner with the modeling team to optimize the serving and performance of GPU-intensive workloads.
- Define SLOs, build monitoring and alerting, and lead incident response and postmortems.
- Own developer platform investments including CI/CD, deployment tooling, environments, and internal infrastructure abstractions.
- Establish infrastructure standards and best practices as a technical authority across the engineering organization.
- Identify and reduce infrastructure technical debt to improve scalability and operational health.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years at the senior or staff level in infrastructure or platform roles.
- Deep expertise in AWS or GCP, including compute, networking, storage, IAM, and cost optimization.
- Expertise in infrastructure-as-code and a strong track record building scalable automation systems.
- Extensive experience owning and scaling Kubernetes and CI/CD systems in high-throughput production environments.
- Experience building and operating highly available, high-throughput distributed systems with mature observability practices.
- Strong technical communication skills, including the ability to document architecture and influence engineering decisions across teams.
- Background in security, exposure to serving AI/ML workloads, and a combination of big-tech and startup experience are preferred.
