Base Salary
$200k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural decisions and technical reviews for infrastructure-critical initiatives.
- Design, build, and own the cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) that runs Salient.
- Develop scalable harnesses for coding agents to operate reliably.
- Partner with the modeling team to optimize GPU-intensive workloads.
- Drive reliability and performance by defining SLOs and leading incident responses.
- Own developer platform investments to improve engineering velocity.
- Establish infrastructure best practices and standards across the engineering organization.
- Identify and reduce technical debt for long-term scalability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years in infrastructure/platform roles.
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) including compute, networking, and storage.
- Expert in infrastructure-as-code with a track record of building scalable automation systems.
- Extensive experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD systems in production environments.
- Proven ability to build and operate high-availability distributed systems.
- Strong technical communication skills to document architecture and influence decisions.
