Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and execution of load, performance, and stress tests for complex integrated platforms.
- Implement, develop, and maintain performance testing frameworks and advise on performance tooling strategy.
- Own performance architecture responsibilities, including environment dependencies, load-generation infrastructure, and data generation for load scenarios.
- Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with developers on performance optimizations.
- Lead cross-functional efforts to establish non-functional requirements, load scenarios, transaction definitions, workload models, and response-time requirements.
- Produce performance test strategies, reports, and dashboards for technical and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 5 years of quality assurance experience focused on performance testing.
- Expertise with performance testing and monitoring tools such as JMeter, LoadNinja, or LoadRunner.
- Experience designing, developing, and executing service-level and end-to-end performance tests across varied platforms.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Python.
- Experience with software development, security, data interchange, networking, and data management concepts.
- Experience leading non-functional requirements gathering and workload-model development.
- Ability to translate raw performance metrics into business context for non-technical audiences.
- Expertise in QA methodologies and processes, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Finance, or Engineering; 7+ years of performance-focused QA experience; financial-industry experience; and experience advising IT leadership on technical strategies.
