Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and debug Linux kernel modules and device drivers for hardware peripherals on i.MX SoCs.
- Collaborate with hardware engineering teams on software and board bring-up for new SoCs.
- Maintain, patch, and upgrade the Linux kernel to support features and resolve security vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with the Linux community to upstream kernel and driver changes.
- Use gdb, kdb, ftrace, and dmesg to debug bottlenecks, memory leaks, and stability issues.
Requirements
- Be graduating in 2027 with a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Have strong proficiency in Embedded C and a solid understanding of data structures and operations.
- Understand operating system concepts including memory management, concurrency, scheduling, and interrupts, with academic or project experience in Linux architecture.
- Have basic familiarity with ARM architecture, preferably ARM Cortex-A, digital electronics, hardware schematics, and component datasheets.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with i.MX development boards or similar ARM platforms, open-source or upstream development, Linux kernel space, Git, shell scripting, and AI coding assistants.
