Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and operate observability pipelines for logs, metrics, traces, and alerts across Proton services.
- Partner with development and platform teams to deliver alerting, dashboarding, and integration solutions.
- Build reusable templates and tooling for onboarding, incident response, and analysis.
- Promote observability best practices and improve system instrumentation across teams.
- Build AI-powered tooling for detection, analysis, and response.
- Iteratively evolve the observability platform to meet internal stakeholder needs.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in an SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering role.
- Comfort writing Python and/or Go for tooling and automation.
- Hands-on experience operating open-source observability stacks for logs, metrics, traces, and alerting.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and GitOps workflows.
- Practical infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools.
- Solid Linux system administration skills.
- Familiarity with OpenTelemetry is a plus.
- Experience running ClickHouse for log and metric storage at scale is a plus.
- Interest in or experience with AI/ML tooling is a plus.
