Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and development of native iOS applications for performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Provide technical direction and code-level leadership for Android development.
- Define mobile engineering standards, best practices, and reusable components.
- Implement on-device and cloud-based ML capabilities in mobile applications.
- Improve mobile CI/CD pipelines, crash analytics, performance monitoring, and observability.
- Use Firebase and Xcode Instruments for monitoring and diagnostics.
- Manage Datadog dashboards, monitors, and alerts, along with Google and Adobe Analytics.
- Mentor junior mobile engineers and promote strong iOS and Android engineering practices.
- Partner with Product, Design, Backend, Data, AI, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver mobile solutions.
- Translate product requirements into scalable mobile experiences and support budgeting and scope organization.
Requirements
- 10+ years of mobile development experience, including 3+ years in a technical leadership role focused on iOS.
- Expert-level proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, Combine, and UIKit.
- Working knowledge of Kotlin and Android architecture components.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, Fastlane, and Firebase.
- Experience with App Store and Google Play deployment processes, including TestFlight and internal testing tracks.
- Experience with Azure or AWS in cloud-connected mobile architectures.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, OAuth2, mobile security, accessibility standards including WCAG and ARIA, and inclusive design.
- Experience managing Datadog dashboards, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, monitors, and alerts for mobile applications.
- Experience with automated testing, unit testing, TDD, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Xcode, Android Studio, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and Figma.
- Ability to work with mobile analytics, crash reporting, user behavior tracking, and AI-enhanced workflows.
- Preferred qualifications include fintech or consumer-facing mobile experience, familiarity with mobile payments, identity verification, and push notification systems, and contributions to open-source mobile libraries or technical publications.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship and meet the West Los Angeles location requirement.
