Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own APIs for creating, provisioning, powering on, and tearing down virtual satellites, gateways, customer terminals, and antennas while driving high availability.
  • Design and evolve recoverable orchestration workflows for long-running provisioning processes across distributed dependencies.
  • Own the service-side plugin framework, including its contract, registration, delegation, and result aggregation model.
  • Build health-check aggregation APIs, continuous canaries, automated ticketing and paging, and end-to-end observability.
  • Integrate certificate, identity, entity-registry, namespace, and calibration-data services at constellation scale.
  • Reduce provisioning latency through parallelization, image pre-baking, and removal of serialized dependencies.
  • Scale multi-tenant capacity and provisioning throughput across bare-metal pools while managing cost per simulated entity.
  • Partner with virtualization, emulation, subsystem-owner, testing, and release-pipeline teams.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • Experience designing, building, operating, and managing large-scale distributed systems or web services.
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, or Perl.
  • Experience designing and evolving APIs, including backward compatibility and versioning.
  • Working knowledge of AWS compute, orchestration, and observability services.
  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with AWS Step Functions, Temporal, Airflow, checkpointing and resume semantics, availability targets, canaries, alarming, on-call operations, error budgets, plugin architectures, EC2 bare-metal, virtualization, hardware-in-the-loop testing, PKI, certificate provisioning, fleet-scale device identity, structured logging, metric cardinality management, distributed tracing, cyber-physical environments, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD.
  • Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee due to export-control requirements.
