Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance to business teams, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Develop, review, debug, and deliver secure, high-quality production code.
- Drive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering and automation practices across teams.
- Establish validation standards for secure coding, peer review, automated testing, AI output correctness, performance, and security.
- Improve automation value across the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain.
- Influence product design, application functionality, technical operations, and engineering processes.
- Serve as a function-wide subject-matter expert and advocate for firmwide engineering frameworks, tools, and practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced knowledge of Java, microservices, Kafka, AWS cloud, and PostgreSQL or similar technologies.
- Experience leading the effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security controls.
- Ability to solve design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
- Practical cloud-native experience.
- Preferred experience with banking and AWS certification.
