Base Salary
$129k - $219k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own design, implementation, test automation, and delivery across the scripting engine and related platform surfaces.
- Develop and maintain the server-side JavaScript engine powering custom applications, workflows, and business logic.
- Optimize execution engines, memory management, scalability, and systems-level performance.
- Collaborate with platform teams and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and drive the full development lifecycle.
- Design and implement new capabilities while maintaining and enhancing existing functionality.
- Architect modular, reusable systems for scalability and extensibility.
- Manage multiple projects with material technical risk across teams and processes.
- Mentor colleagues and promote knowledge-sharing across teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience with Java or a similar object-oriented language; C++, C#, or Go are acceptable alternatives.
- Strong passion for JavaScript, including its semantics, execution model, evolution, and the Web platform.
- Experience with backend or systems-level programming; exposure to parsing, compilation, or interpretation is a plus but not required.
- Advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance and scale considerations.
- Familiarity with distributed systems concepts such as resource isolation, concurrency, and scaling execution across shared infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple technically risky projects across teams and processes.
- Track record serving as a functional lead or technical owner.
- Exposure to JVM/backend systems, platform infrastructure, security and sandboxing, or service-oriented architecture is preferred.
- Experience integrating AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
