Base Salary
$141k - $212k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define software and system architecture for Qualcomm’s low-power edge-AI technologies.
- Collaborate with product management, customers, and hardware architecture teams to understand system requirements and use cases.
- Perform systems engineering for complex use cases involving software and hardware across multiple technology domains.
- Evaluate architectural options and trade-offs and develop architecture proposals and specifications.
- Review and apply innovations from different Qualcomm business units.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 4+ years of Software Engineering or related experience; or a master’s degree plus 3+ years; or a PhD plus 2+ years.
- 2+ years of work experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Preferred: 6+ years of experience architecting complex embedded systems.
- Experience designing hardware/software interfaces and system designs.
- Knowledge of or experience with SoC architecture, RISC-V microcontrollers, Zephyr OS and device drivers, ARM architecture, Linux kernel and device drivers, SoC boot software, PCIe/CXL technology and software stack, and serial interfaces such as I2C, I3C, and SPI.
- Ability and willingness to collaborate with globally distributed functional organizations across multiple sites.
