Base Salary
$161k - $201k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable and secure backend systems and APIs for real-time applications.
- Own the development lifecycle from feature architecture through workstream planning and implementation guidance.
- Write high-performance, well-tested code and establish standards for reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Define system design, code quality, testing, performance monitoring, and development best practices.
- Triage, debug, and resolve complex production issues for team-owned systems.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to align technical execution with business priorities.
- Mentor and develop engineers at all levels.
- Shape the technical roadmap and influence strategic architecture decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
- At least 7 years of backend development experience using object-oriented languages such as C# or Java.
- Advanced proficiency in software architecture, object-oriented programming principles, and scalable system design.
- Expertise designing and building distributed systems in cloud environments such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience building resilient, high-performance systems with automated unit, integration, and performance testing.
- Demonstrated leadership in setting technical direction, conducting code and design reviews, and influencing architecture decisions.
- Experience mentoring engineers and fostering a growth-oriented, high-performance environment.
- Strong focus on system reliability, scalability, maintainability, development practices, testing strategies, and monitoring.
Benefits
- US base salary range is $160,700.00–$200,900.00 annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable.
- Full-time position with compensation varying by work location, skills, experience, education, and training.
- A gaming license issued by the appropriate state agency may be required as a condition of employment.
