Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java/J2EE and Spring Boot applications.
- Develop microservices and RESTful APIs following software development best practices.
- Design and implement AWS cloud-native solutions using services including Lambda, API Gateway, and S3.
- Build responsive web applications using React or Angular, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Develop and maintain JSP applications and work with Apache Tomcat.
- Use Hibernate, JPA, or other ORM frameworks for database interaction.
- Design, develop, and optimize applications using relational databases and SQL.
- Modernize and maintain legacy applications while preserving stability and performance.
- Use AI-powered tools such as Cursor AI for coding, debugging, refactoring, testing, and productivity improvements.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
- Collaborate with business users and cross-functional teams to define requirements and technical specifications.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, design sessions, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and follow DevOps practices.
- Optimize performance and ensure application availability, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide resolutions.
- Take ownership of production support activities when required.
- Follow security, compliance, coding, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot or Spring Framework, microservices, and REST APIs.
- Experience with Hibernate, JPA, or another ORM framework.
- Experience with AWS cloud services, including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and related services.
- Frontend development experience with React.js or Angular, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Experience with JSP, Apache Tomcat, and Maven.
- Experience developing, maintaining, modernizing, or migrating legacy applications.
- Understanding of cloud-native application development and deployment.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Git and version-control systems is preferred.
- Experience with application performance tuning and troubleshooting is preferred.
- Exposure to cloud security and compliance is preferred.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and external services is preferred.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred.
- Experience with Cursor AI, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI-powered developer tools is advantageous.
- Strong software design, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and production-support skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing technical and business requirements and learn emerging technologies.
