Base Salary
$210k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own major areas of backend architecture, including APIs and distributed systems.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate development and operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to integrate AI into engineering systems and customer-facing capabilities.
- Design, build, test, deploy, and iterate on production systems with a focus on reliability.
- Architect systems to support increasing scale and complexity.
- Define and implement modern testing and operational practices.
- Build scalable abstractions and frameworks for faster product development.
- Drive technical direction and contribute to long-term architectural decisions.
- Mentor engineers and share best practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience, ideally in SaaS.
- Proven experience designing and operating complex backend systems.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, APIs, and backend architecture patterns.
- Strong proficiency with modern AI engineering workflows and tooling.
- Ability to balance rapid iteration with long-term reliability.
- Experience building secure and fault-tolerant systems in production.
- Collaborative approach across engineering and product teams.
- Adaptability and engineering judgment are prioritized over specific frameworks.
