Software Engineer III - DevOps
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Develop automation tools and scripts for infrastructure components and security configurations.
- Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot infrastructure and configuration issues across environments.
- Support software development teams by debugging environment-specific issues.
- Maintain asset inventories and containerized applications using Docker.
- Provision and manage infrastructure with Terraform and administer Linux-based environments.
- Manage production, certification, and testing environment availability.
- Work with PostgreSQL and MongoDB and write Python and Bash automation scripts.
- Support cost rationalization and gather technical requirements with architects.
- Use Git, BitBucket, Jira, ServiceNow, and pre-commit hooks for workflow management.
- Configure AWS RDS and Aurora services with Terraform.
- Monitor and troubleshoot systems using Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace, and Grafana.
- Use and help establish safe, validated patterns for enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Expertise administering AWS services including EC2, ECS, ELB, S3, Lambda, PostgreSQL RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache, CodeDeploy, and CloudWatch.
- Experience implementing CI/CD practices with tools such as Jules, Jenkins, and Spinnaker.
- Strong AWS, infrastructure provisioning, and automation experience.
- Hands-on experience critically evaluating, validating, and refining AI-generated code, tests, troubleshooting outputs, or documentation for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Strong communication, analytical, diagnostic, problem-solving, interpersonal, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Preferred experience with messaging and caching frameworks such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Redis.
