Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain existing GitLab CI/CD infrastructure, including patching, permissions, jobs, runners, variables, and approvals.
- Administer Nexus artifact repositories, including patching, backups, access management, configuration, retention policies, cleanup, and health checks.
- Support installation and daily operations of on-premises Kubernetes clusters, including patching, storage, deployments, rollouts, rollbacks, configuration, and resource adjustments.
- Implement incremental improvements to DevOps tools and workflows while following established designs and security baselines.
- Apply secrets management, access controls, certificate and credential rotation, image scanning, and log-retention controls.
- Follow formal change-management processes and maintain runbooks, standard operating procedures, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, system administrators, developers, leads, and architects on operational changes and improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 8 years of professional experience, a Master’s degree in STEM with 6 years, or a PhD with 3 years; 4 or more years of experience may substitute for the degree.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- An active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance, current and within scope, is required at application; the candidate must be able to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.
- Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Full Scope Polygraph is required.
- Experience with Java, Elasticsearch, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab is required.
- Preferred qualifications include an active current and within-scope Full Scope Polygraph and experience with Java Spring Boot, Agile, and Nexus.

- Base salary range is $142,200.00-$213,400.00 annually.

- The role is based in Aurora, Colorado and requires travel 10% of the time.
