Base Salary
$101k - $167k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement, test, document, and maintain capabilities in the Web GIS SDK’s core libraries and web component packages.
- Develop software using JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern web development practices.
- Build reusable web components and supporting utilities following established architectural conventions.
- Participate in the design and implementation of clear, consistent, and well-documented APIs.
- Investigate and resolve software defects and development issues.
- Write automated tests to improve software quality and maintainability.
- Contribute to developer documentation, code examples, and interactive learning resources.
- Ensure software meets performance, accessibility, internationalization, and localization requirements.
- Work with shared packages and monorepo development workflows.
- Contribute to build, test, continuous integration, and release workflows.
- Participate in code reviews and team planning.
- Collaborate with teammates and communicate progress and challenges.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience developing web applications or libraries using JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Ability to apply software engineering principles such as modular design and automated testing.
- Familiarity with standards-based web components or component-based development.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, browser APIs, and debugging tools.
- Familiarity with source control, package management, and software build tools.
- Ability to follow established engineering practices and apply feedback.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, GIS, mathematics, or a related field.
