Base Salary
$174k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop the auction backend in C++ and build an agile framework supporting varied auction needs.
- Design and build high-quality, scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure for Google Search Ads auctions.
- Participate in technical discussions and system designs.
- Lead junior team members by setting project direction and following up throughout projects.
- Reduce technical debt and improve code health.
- Evaluate change impact through experimentation, data analysis, and other tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Five years of software development experience in C++.
- Three years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks.
- Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems focused on scalability, fault tolerance, and reliability.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in computer science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: five years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: one year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Preferred: experience with game theory or auction theory.
