Deloitte AdvisoryResponsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based API and microservices automation frameworks.
- Test Java APIs, microservices, core banking services, payment flows, trade finance applications, and backend systems.
- Validate end-to-end service interactions, integrations, customer journeys, and trade finance transaction workflows.
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Lead root cause analysis, participate in defect triage, and improve quality governance.
- Collaborate with backend, payments, trade finance, cloud, and product teams to support high-quality releases.
- Contribute to and review test strategy, test planning, test reporting, and test management activities.
Requirements
- 9+ years of SDET or QA automation experience.
- Mandatory strong programming skills in Java.
- Hands-on API automation experience with REST Assured and Postman/Newman; Karate is preferred.
- Experience testing Java-based APIs and microservices, including service contracts, mocking or stubbing, JSON/XML validation, API schema validation, and integration testing patterns.
- Strong banking and financial services experience, particularly in retail banking, payments, or trade finance.
- Understanding of trade finance products and workflows, including Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, Documentary Collections, and trade transaction lifecycles.
- CI/CD experience with Jenkins, Git, Maven, or Gradle.
- Strong Linux, log analysis, and backend debugging experience.
- Knowledge of API fundamentals, including endpoints, status codes, payload structures, authentication, and authorization.
- BE or BTech educational background.
- Preferred experience with test strategy and management, banking regulatory testing, trade finance platforms, SWIFT MT/MX, ISO 20022, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP, Cucumber, Allure, Extent Reports, JMeter, k6, OAuth2, JWT, certificates, and secure authentication mechanisms.
