Base Salary
$96k - $143k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with gameplay engineers and designers to identify and develop new gameplay features.
- Own key animation-driven gameplay mechanics, including complex locomotion, physical duels, and foot-to-object interactions.
- Support content creation tools and animation review features.
- Translate athlete physics, momentum, and sudden changes of direction into interactive systems.
- Help engineers use existing and new animation features effectively.
- Research and implement current industry animation techniques.
- Write, maintain, and optimize robust, performant code.
- Debug animation issues as they arise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience working with animation or gameplay systems.
- Solid familiarity and experience with C++.
- Excellent 3D math and linear algebra skills.
- Implementation experience with inverse kinematics, procedural animation, keyframe animation, and/or forward kinematics.
- Ability to explain technical topics to people with varying levels of expertise.
- Strong attention to detail in creating dynamic, authentic, and responsive character animation.
- Passion for video games and sports culture.

- Expected base pay range of $96,400 to $142,660 per year in British Columbia at the start of employment.
