Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate production-grade services for Ares’ enterprise Generative AI platform.
- Own major platform components and technical workstreams from architecture and implementation through deployment and ongoing operation.
- Develop reusable APIs, SDKs, services, orchestration capabilities, developer tooling, and reference implementations for AI application teams.
- Build multi-LLM gateways, RAG services, vector database integrations, agentic workflows, prompt and model lifecycle capabilities, and MCP integrations.
- Implement observability, evaluation, monitoring, telemetry, AI FinOps, disaster recovery, and high-availability capabilities.
- Integrate AI services with enterprise data products, applications, APIs, governed data sources, and internal systems.
- Implement authentication, authorization, access control, encryption, secrets management, audit logging, and AI governance controls.
- Lead complex engineering initiatives, provide technical guidance and code reviews, and mentor AI engineers and developers.
- Evaluate emerging AI models, frameworks, tools, and platform technologies and collaborate with engineering, product, data, security, legal, compliance, risk, and business teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
- 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, machine learning engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building Generative AI, LLM, machine learning, or AI platform solutions in production.
- Strong Python engineering skills and experience writing production-quality software.
- Experience designing APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications.
- Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform, preferably Azure.
- Experience with containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and modern DevOps practices.
- Practical experience with RAG, embeddings, vector search, prompt engineering, tool use, or agentic workflows.
- Familiarity with model evaluation, testing, observability, and production monitoring for AI systems.
- Understanding of software security, authentication and authorization, secrets management, and secure development practices.
- Experience delivering scalable, reliable production systems and independently owning complex initiatives from design through production.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills across engineering, product, data, security, and business teams.
- Preferred qualifications include Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Model Serving, MLflow, Vector Search, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI services, LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, MCP, LLM evaluation, AI observability, model governance, AI FinOps, internal developer platforms, and financial-services experience.
- A master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
