Base Salary
$136k - $204k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, operate, and maintain embedded software, firmware, and computing systems software.
- Support the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, coding, testing, debugging, and integration.
- Develop embedded software in C++ for Linux or VxWorks operating systems.
- Test, debug, and integrate embedded software on target hardware.
- Apply software engineering standards, processes, procedures, and tools to engineering applications and products.
- Interface with customers, suppliers, application users, and technical and support personnel.
- Contribute technical leadership, teamwork, communication, and team empowerment across defense engineering programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar engineering discipline plus 8+ years of engineering experience; alternatively, a master’s degree plus 6+ years, or additional experience in lieu of a degree.
- Object-oriented programming experience in C++.
- Experience developing embedded software running on Linux or VxWorks.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Current active Secret clearance before starting.
- Preferred experience with C++11, Python, Bash, or Batch scripting.
- Preferred experience testing, debugging, and integrating embedded software on target hardware.
- Preferred experience with parallel processing, multithreading, distributed processing, multicore systems, system-on-chip architectures, and secure processing.
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, interpersonal communication, and experience with software development methodologies or frameworks are preferred.

- Primary base salary range is $135,800.00-$203,600.00 per year.

- The position is full-time and on-site in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, with travel approximately 10% of the time.
