Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, operate, and maintain embedded software and firmware components.
- Develop software for Linux or VxWorks embedded operating systems using object-oriented C++.
- Support the full software development life cycle, including requirements, design, coding, testing, debugging, and integration.
- Integrate embedded software on target hardware and support systems using parallel, multi-threaded, distributed, multi-core, system-on-chip, and secure processing capabilities.
- Interface with customers, suppliers, application users, and technical and support personnel.
- Apply applicable standards, processes, procedures, and tools to generate engineering applications and products.
Requirements
- Software Engineer: bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar engineering discipline plus 2+ years of engineering experience, or a master's degree; Principal Software Engineer: bachelor's degree plus 5+ years or a master's degree plus 3+ years.
- Additional experience may substitute for the degree, requiring 4 additional years of experience.
- Object-oriented programming experience in C++.
- Experience developing embedded software on Linux or VxWorks.
- U.S. citizenship and a current active Secret clearance before starting.
- Preferred qualifications include C++11, Python, Bash, or Batch scripting; Waterfall or Agile experience; embedded software testing and integration on target hardware; and experience with parallel processing, multi-threading, distributed processing, multi-core, system-on-chip, or secure processing.
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, interpersonal communication, and collaboration skills are preferred.
