Base Salary
$170k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Identify and plan future prevention for production incidents.
- Design globally distributed systems and processes.
- Identify and correct deficiencies in applications and infrastructure.
- Define solutions to complex technical problems and communicate them effectively to teammates.
- Make significant technology contributions, potentially resulting in patents, trade secrets, publications, or presentations.
- Translate strategic goals into operational plans.
- Coordinate across functional boundaries.
- Lead larger sub-projects or entire small projects when needed.
Requirements
- BS, MS, PhD, or equivalent plus 8 years of experience.
- Proficiency coding in multiple or unfamiliar programming languages, such as Python, Ruby, and JavaScript.
- Experience architecting intricate, high-scale patterns in AWS.
- Experience architecting repeatable workflows for continuous integration and continuous deployment, with GitLab preferred.
- Ability to understand, debug, and explain complex distributed systems.
- AWS Cloud Certification at the Associate level.
- Strong communication, documentation, and time-management skills.
- Preferred training in secure coding practices.
- Preferred AWS Cloud Certification at the Professional level.
- GCP or Azure experience is preferred.
- Experience at a public company and open-source contributions or technical blog experience are preferred.
