Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship for cross-functional cloud and data teams.
- Design, deploy, and optimize Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and other database solutions.
- Administer and optimize Azure Databricks environments, including clusters, notebooks, libraries, jobs, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Design Azure Data Factory pipelines to orchestrate ETL workflows and data movement across hybrid cloud environments.
- Develop and execute strategies to migrate on-premises data and applications to Azure using Azure-native migration tools.
- Design highly available, fault-tolerant, secure, compliant, and cost-efficient Azure architectures.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure Bicep.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and automation for cloud infrastructure and application deployments.
- Collaborate with business, IT, data engineering, and executive stakeholders to align solutions with organizational goals.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, including at least 4 years focused on Azure cloud solutions and architecture design.
- Expertise with Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and related Azure data services.
- Strong proficiency with Azure Data Factory for data pipeline orchestration and ETL design.
- Experience administering and optimizing Azure Databricks, including cluster management, job execution, and Azure service integration.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure Bicep.
- Understanding of cloud security, access control, encryption, auditing, and compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools for cloud infrastructure and application deployments.
- Leadership experience mentoring teams and driving technical initiatives to completion.
