Responsibilities
- Implement, test, and maintain product features across frontend and backend application layers.
- Translate product requirements and technical designs into clear, maintainable code and contribute to design discussions.
- Apply unit testing, integration testing, observability, and other engineering quality practices.
- Investigate and resolve defects, participate in code reviews, and improve product reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Take increasing ownership of features from implementation through release and share knowledge across teams.
- Use AI agents and AI-assisted engineering tools while validating generated work for correctness, security, and quality.
- Contribute to specification-driven development by creating and maintaining specifications, implementation, and tests.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 3+ years of software development experience, or a master’s degree and 2+ years of experience, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience developing software with Java 11+ and the Spring Framework.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, Angular with Nova Framework, SQL, and the Tomcat Application Server.
- Ability to contribute across frontend and backend layers with team support as appropriate.
- Familiarity with debugging, testing, code review, source control, and software development fundamentals.
- Exposure to DevOps and continuous integration/deployment practices is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants or agents and familiarity with specification-driven development are preferred.
- Clear communication and effective collaboration skills.
