Responsibilities
- Develop and implement REST-based APIs and integration services connecting ADP solutions with client enterprise systems.
- Create and process JSON data structures and implement OAuth 2.0, API key, and token-based authentication mechanisms.
- Design webhooks and event-driven integrations, including error handling, monitoring, logging, performance, stability, and security controls.
- Create data models, mappings, validations, SQL queries, and documentation for data flows and interface requirements.
- Perform API troubleshooting, testing, error analysis, and data quality assurance using integration tools.
- Develop internal integration standards, templates, best practices, and technical methods.
- Coach and mentor team members and conduct internal training and knowledge-transfer workshops.
- Support consulting, professional services, and implementation activities for clients.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of REST APIs, API architectures, JSON, web interfaces, HTTP methods, webhooks, and event-driven integration processes.
- Experience with either JavaScript and REST frameworks or Python, FastAPI, and API development automation.
- Strong SQL skills with knowledge of data modeling, table structures, data mapping, validation, and quality assurance.
- Experience with Postman or Bruno and API testing and error analysis.
- Understanding of hosting, SSL certificates, networking, firewalls, connectivity, cloud infrastructure, and modern deployment concepts.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is desired.
- Basic knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD processes is desired.
- Experience with HCM, HR, payroll, SaaS, or cloud application integrations is desired.
- Experience in consulting, professional services, or implementation projects is desired.
- Very good spoken and written German and English at a minimum B2+ level.
- Strong technical and business communication, analytical, problem-solving, client-service, collaboration, and independent working skills.
