Responsibilities
- Develop and implement REST-based APIs and integration services connecting ADP solutions with client enterprise systems.
- Create and process JSON data structures and implement OAuth 2.0, API key, and token-based authentication.
- Use webhooks and event-driven integration processes.
- Design error handling, monitoring, logging, performance, stability, and security practices for integration solutions.
- Create and maintain data models, mappings, validations, SQL queries, and documented data flows.
- Analyze and troubleshoot API, connectivity, and data errors.
- Develop internal API and integration standards, templates, best practices, training sessions, and knowledge-transfer workshops.
- Coach and mentor team members and contribute to advancing integration methods and technical standards.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of REST APIs and API architectures, JSON, web-based interfaces, HTTP methods, webhooks, and event-driven integrations.
- Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, API keys, access tokens, API troubleshooting, error analysis, and secure integration practices.
- Experience with either JavaScript and REST frameworks or Python and FastAPI for API development and automation.
- Strong SQL skills, including data modeling, table structures, data and interface mapping, validation, and data quality assurance.
- Experience with Postman or Bruno for API testing and error analysis.
- Understanding of hosting, SSL certificates, networking, firewalls, connectivity, cloud infrastructure, and modern deployment concepts.
- English proficiency at minimum B2+ in oral and written communication.
- Preferred experience with HCM, HR, payroll, SaaS, cloud applications, consulting, professional services, or implementation projects.
- Preferred knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud and basic DevOps and CI/CD processes.
- German language skills are a plus.
