Responsibilities

  • Design and implement infrastructure for training and deploying large-scale robotic foundation models.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines that collect, process, and feed real-world robot data into machine-learning workflows.
  • Provide accessible tools and infrastructure for ML researchers and engineers developing AI techniques for robotics.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define infrastructure requirements and deliver solutions for partners and customers.
  • Guide technical direction and mentor engineers while ensuring robust and scalable data and ML infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in Computer Science.
  • At least four years of experience collaborating on medium- to large-scale software projects.
  • Programming experience with Python or C++.
  • Experience with machine learning, including TensorFlow and JAX.
  • Experience with cloud computing and containerization using Google Cloud, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, set technical direction, and drive solutions.
  • Preferred: PhD in Computer Science or Engineering specializing in Machine Learning and/or Robotics.
  • Preferred: academic publications in Machine Learning and/or Robotics.
  • Preferred: experience with robotic foundation models or vision-language-action models.
  • Preferred: experience deploying ML services at scale.
