Base Salary
$150k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate production AI systems for WHOOP products.
- Lead end-to-end AI system initiatives in collaboration with data science and product teams.
- Build and maintain data pipelines for high-quality training and evaluation datasets.
- Operationalize fine-tuning and evaluation workflows for large language models.
- Develop tooling for faster and safer experimentation and model deployment.
- Build feedback loops to ensure continuous model improvement based on real-world behavior.
- Mentor engineers and data scientists, sharing best practices in applied AI/ML.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in applied machine learning or AI engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience with modern language models, including prompt design and fine-tuning.
- Solid understanding of ML fundamentals and engineering tradeoffs.
- Familiarity with LLM training techniques like supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning.
- Proven track record of building and operating ML-powered systems end to end.
- Strong proficiency in data manipulation and analysis with messy, multi-source data.
- Familiarity with secure, privacy-aware AI practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
