Responsibilities
- Lead rapid prototype development using agent-driven engineering approaches.
- Architect, build, and deploy AI-enabled and agentic systems, including agent-to-agent communication.
- Define and maintain engineering standards covering quality, security, testing, and production readiness.
- Develop APIs, microservices, intuitive interfaces, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Research emerging tools and present technology recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Work with clients and internal stakeholders to identify, assess, and prioritise emerging-technology opportunities.
- Design monitoring, dashboards, tracing, and evaluation mechanisms for AI-enabled systems.
- Manage multiple workstreams through planning, prioritisation, and communication.
- Share reusable engineering patterns, lessons learned, and best practices across EY.
- Support client implementation progress, stakeholder understanding, adoption, and satisfaction.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in software engineering and/or technology consulting.
- Experience with at least two modern programming languages, such as TypeScript, Python, Java, or Go.
- Proven ability to architect, build, and deploy complex agentic systems with agent-to-agent communication.
- Ability to build auditable, traceable, and observable agentic systems.
- Expertise developing APIs and microservices.
- Good understanding of frontend technologies such as React and Next.js.
- Experience managing at least one cloud platform, such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience with AI development frameworks, foundation model platforms, vector databases, structured outputs, tracing, and evaluation techniques.
- Experience with testing, CI/CD, DevOps, observability, secure development, code quality, architecture reviews, and production readiness.
- Strong communication, client engagement, user-centred design, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Preferred: experience writing MCP servers, using spec-driven development, configuring coding agents, and designing human-in-the-loop review, escalation, and feedback workflows.
- Preferred: hands-on experimentation through personal projects, open-source contributions, prototypes, or a technical portfolio.
- Preferred: consulting experience managing client expectations and delivery timelines, plus a track record of identifying client opportunities.
