Responsibilities
- Lead rapid prototype development using agent-driven engineering approaches.
- Architect, build, and deploy complex agentic systems, including agent-to-agent communication.
- Design auditable, traceable, and observable AI-enabled systems with monitoring and evaluation mechanisms.
- Develop APIs, microservices, intuitive interfaces, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Define and maintain engineering standards covering quality, security, testing, and production readiness.
- Research emerging technologies and identify, assess, and prioritize opportunities with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Present technical recommendations and translate complex concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Manage multiple workstreams through planning, prioritization, and communication.
- Share reusable engineering patterns, lessons learned, and technology best practices across EY.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in software engineering and/or technology consulting.
- Experience with at least two modern programming languages, such as TypeScript, Python, Java, or Go.
- Proven ability to architect, build, and deploy complex agentic systems.
- Experience developing APIs and microservices.
- Good understanding of frontend technologies such as React and Next.js.
- Experience managing at least one cloud platform, such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience with AI development frameworks, foundation model platforms, vector databases, structured outputs, tracing, and evaluation techniques.
- Experience applying testing, CI/CD, DevOps, observability, secure development, code quality, architecture reviews, and production-readiness practices.
- Strong client engagement, communication, engineering judgment, user-centred thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred experience building complex systems including MCP servers.
- Preferred experience with spec-driven development and configuring coding agents.
- Preferred experience designing human-in-the-loop workflows for AI-supported decisions.
- Preferred evidence of personal projects, open-source contributions, prototypes, or a relevant technical portfolio.
- Previous consulting experience managing client expectations and delivery timelines is desirable.
