Responsibilities
- Develop test requirements, methodologies, test plans, and test cases for software and related hardware and firmware.
- Execute automated and manual tests for software, hardware, firmware, and IC solutions.
- Debug hardware and software issues, analyze failures, and determine root causes involving IC functionality.
- Analyze test results, report defects, and support issue resolution with development and customer-facing teams.
- Develop GUI test automation and improve validation frameworks, test coverage, and QA practices.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams and customers to validate digital controller solutions.
- Mentor team members and contribute to testing strategy, planning, documentation, lab management, and process improvements.
- Identify risks, raise issues, and recommend product and process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer science, or a similar field.
- 2–5 years of software QA experience, including experience testing software integrated with hardware and firmware.
- Strong software and hardware testing, debugging, analytical, documentation, and root-cause-analysis skills.
- Experience with electronics, microcontroller programming, and bus communications; semiconductor, IC, or power systems experience is preferred.
- GUI test automation experience using Python and tools such as Qt Squish or SmartBear TestComplete.
- Familiarity with laboratory test equipment and measurement tools.
- Understanding of JIRA, version control, QA best practices, and software/hardware development lifecycles.
- Ability to mentor teams, improve test coverage, and drive hardware/software quality initiatives.
- Background in both Software QA and IC or power engineering is preferred.
