
Senior DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain continuous integration and deployment processes.
- Deploy, scale, and manage applications with Kubernetes while considering architecture, functionality, and cost.
- Design and manage cloud-based solutions primarily on Azure and mature cloud infrastructure.
- Provision and manage cloud resources with Terraform modules and state management.
- Partner with security teams to strengthen infrastructure security and meet compliance standards.
- Implement and oversee monitoring and logging solutions.
- Troubleshoot software, optimize performance, and apply deployment best practices with development teams.
- Deploy applications in challenging environments and work directly with customers to ensure smooth deployments.
- Participate hands-on in design, debugging, and practical problem-solving.
- Build and enhance secure Docker images for production flight environments.
- Evaluate new development tools for team needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 years of DevOps and cloud experience.
- Experience with Linux, containers, and container orchestration.
- Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including tools such as GitHub Actions.
- Experience administering monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
- Production experience building and maintaining cloud infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes, including AKS and Helm.
- Strong understanding of Terraform use cases and best practices.
- Experience establishing production-grade networking with hybrid clouds.
- Knowledge of networking protocols including TCP and HTTP(S).
- Experience with a scripting language such as Bash or Python.
- Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud certification.
- Understanding of security and compliance in a DevOps context.
- Preferred: GovCloud experience, especially with Azure.
- Preferred: experience in the space, defense, or similar industries.
- Preferred: experience with DoD compliance certifications such as CMMC or FedRAMP.
- Preferred: ability to balance startup speed with a mature flight environment.
