Senior Software Engineer - Automation & Tooling

- Design, develop, and maintain production-grade automation frameworks, tools, and scripts.
- Provide architectural input, establish QA automation coding standards, and ensure framework scalability and maintainability.
- Identify QA process and tooling gaps and implement solutions that improve testing practices.
- Own complex quality issues across engineering pods and drive long-term resolutions through cross-functional collaboration.
- Evaluate, adopt, and integrate new automation technologies and frameworks.
- Track QA KPIs and use data to guide automation and quality improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers and QA peers and lead knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Align QA automation strategies with end-user needs and customer experience goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in Quality Engineering or Software Development, with strong emphasis on test automation and tooling.
- Strong software engineering and coding expertise, including required Python experience; Java or JavaScript experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to architect and maintain automation frameworks at scale.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps environments.
- Experience contributing strategically to process and tooling improvements while remaining hands-on technically.
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing QA practices across teams.
- Strong coding, debugging, problem-solving, analytical, architectural, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred experience developing AI-powered applications using RAG architectures, LangChain, Model Context Protocols, Hugging Face, OpenAI API, or Llama Index.
- Preferred experience applying AI to QA and automation, including intelligent test generation, anomaly detection, and defect classification.
- Understanding of MLOps, ethical AI practices, bias, explainability, and model governance.
