Responsibilities
- Build distributed systems using actor-based concurrency, reactive programming, distributed in-memory data grids, and advanced messaging.
- Develop complex commercial-grade applications and server-side JVM-based projects using Java or Scala.
- Lead Agile teams, take responsibility for team outcomes, guide team members, and conduct learning sessions.
- Design and build RESTful web services and real-time software architectures.
- Collaborate with financial-services clients in iterative, project-based engagements.
- Adapt to changing technologies, project requirements, and team composition while delivering quality software.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience designing and building complex commercial-grade applications in core server-side Java, ideally Java 8+.
- 5+ years of experience leading Agile teams.
- Experience building RESTful web services.
- Experience with test-driven development, including unit and end-to-end testing.
- Experience working in a CI/CD environment.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, or a related field, or related work experience.
- Knowledge of and strong demonstrated interest in global financial markets and financial products.
- Ability to make informed technical decisions, accept responsibility for team outcomes, collaborate, share knowledge, and adapt to change.
