Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, integrate, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, debug, and enhance full-stack software applications.
- Analyze organizational needs and goals and develop application systems and technical solutions.
- Write well-designed, testable, efficient code and participate in code reviews.
- Design and develop tests, test-automation suites, software verification plans, and quality assurance procedures.
- Gather requirements and prepare BRD/SRD documentation when needed.
- Collaborate with data engineers, business users, project managers, and other engineers to deliver team objectives.
- Apply security and privacy principles and follow deployment change controls.
- Provide ongoing application support, resolve software and communications malfunctions, and recommend continuous improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote reuse, shared ownership, and software development best practices.
- Complete required training and use learning tools such as Pluralsight for professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 2–6 years of software development experience.
- Experience developing both front-end and back-end software.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle and cross-platform interoperability.
- Experience with an application development toolkit and front-end and back-end coding languages such as C#, Java, HTML, NodeJS, CSS, JSON, Angular, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of application frameworks and containerization.
- Ability to resolve hardware, software, and communications malfunctions and understand their business impact.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is preferred.
- Strong teamwork and organizational skills.
