Base Salary
$165k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop solutions supporting large language model training across clusters of nodes.
- Build and maintain a performant, resilient, fully managed service for large-scale foundation-model training.
- Optimize distributed training by profiling bottlenecks and improving compute, network performance, and compute/communication overlap.
- Design system architecture and translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical specifications.
- Own delivery of major system components across conception, development, deployment, and maintenance.
- Serve as a technical lead on complex projects using strong engineering practices.
- Collaborate with ML scientists, customers, internal engineering teams, technology companies, and the open-source community.
- Hire and mentor junior software development engineers.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Experience with multithreaded asynchronous C++ or Go development.
- Experience with resource orchestrators, Kubernetes, high-performance computing, scalable systems, and large language model training.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
