Responsibilities
- Design and build highly available, secure, cost-efficient, and compliant Azure cloud solutions.
- Own cloud networking, firewalls, identity and access management, RBAC, MFA, and least-privilege practices.
- Develop infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, cloud automation, and low-risk release processes.
- Containerize applications and select suitable compute models including App Services, serverless, virtual machines, and Kubernetes.
- Run Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, and related AI infrastructure and APIs.
- Build and secure backend APIs, govern APIs through API Management, and expose APIs as MCP servers.
- Develop full-stack applications, including frontend contributions where platform knowledge is important.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and cost optimization.
- Mentor colleagues, establish architecture standards, and communicate complex technical topics clearly.
- Lead enterprise projects from concept through production, including cloud transformations and monolith-to-services migrations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Around 8 or more years of professional IT experience, including several years building and operating production cloud infrastructure and developing backend or full-stack applications.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform; Azure is preferred, while AWS or GCP experience is acceptable with willingness to learn Azure.
- Strong cloud networking and security fundamentals, including virtual networks, firewalls or NSGs, load balancing, DNS, TLS, and identity and access management.
- Production infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, Bicep, ARM, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or a similar tool.
- Experience designing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or Jenkins, and deploying containers with Docker.
- Strong backend programming skills in TypeScript/Node.js, Python, C#/.NET, Java, or Go, plus the ability to contribute to frontend development.
- Strong relational database design and performance-tuning skills; PostgreSQL is preferred.
- Proven experience troubleshooting complex production systems and improving reliability.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and delivery of enterprise projects from concept to production.
- Preferred experience includes Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, LLM services, Azure API Management, MCP servers, Kubernetes, serverless architectures, cloud transformations, and observability tooling.
- Consulting or client-facing project experience and certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-400, AZ-500, or AWS/GCP equivalents are advantageous but not required.
