Responsibilities
- Participate in application design and development for train control signalling solutions.
- Develop subsystem requirements and designs based on system-level designs and requirements.
- Implement software designs and write unit tests to verify software correctness and completeness.
- Coordinate peer reviews of software development artefacts and participate in peer reviews requested by others.
- Learn and apply new tools, techniques, and processes in a continuous-improvement environment.
- Work with cross-functional engineering teams in a dynamic work environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another engineering discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience developing software.
- Knowledge of software development principles and object-oriented design.
- Experience with software implementation using .NET, Visual Basic, Visual C++, and C/C++.
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with software development tools including .NET, VB6, Visual C++, Eclipse, Git, GitLab, Gerrit, DOORS, and Jenkins.
- Rail transportation industry experience is preferred.
- Availability to work occasional night shifts and weekends.
- Willingness to travel, particularly during preliminary design and commissioning phases.
