Responsibilities
- Drive the design and development of major architecture components for cloud services.
- Participate in requirements, design, coding, testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Support peers through code reviews, design reviews, and technical insights.
- Improve DevOps, Agile, and CI/CD processes.
- Drive API design excellence, including versioning, REST versus GraphQL, performance, and usability.
- Support and improve the team’s on-call responsibilities.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Own engineering initiatives and promote high ownership, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong foundation in architecting and designing cloud services.
- Proficiency in Java and the Spring Framework.
- Experience with microservice architectures and high-performance, high-scale systems.
- Experience with cloud services, preferably AWS.
- Proficiency in DevOps, Agile, and CI/CD processes.
- Familiarity with Git, Jira, and Jenkins.
- Strong problem-solving, technical leadership, communication, collaboration, and continuous-learning abilities.
