Responsibilities
- Analyze business and functional requirements and design Java backend solutions.
- Develop, test, and support Java applications and their development infrastructure.
- Build Java-based backend services using Spring Boot and resilient service architectures.
- Own work across the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle.
- Collaborate with global teams on application and supporting-infrastructure changes.
- Automate testing and deployment to improve delivery speed and quality.
- Use Ansible to configure and deploy applications.
- Engineer CI/CD pipelines for tests and deployments.
- Work within a regulated financial environment with a strong focus on cybersecurity.
- Provide occasional out-of-hours support for releases or incidents.
Requirements
- 5+ years of similar professional experience.
- Experience designing and developing Java-based backend services with Spring Boot.
- Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Ability to engineer services meeting corporate resilience and information-security standards.
- Experience using Ansible to configure and deploy applications.
- Linux skills for software management and debugging.
- Experience engineering CI/CD pipelines for testing or deployment.
- Preferred experience with React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and UI/UX technologies.
- Preferred experience with Cypress or similar automated web-application testing frameworks.
- Experience using AI tools to improve development productivity is helpful.
- Ability to design and develop infrastructure using Terraform.
- Experience engineering scalable and resilient Kubernetes clusters and supporting containerized applications.
- Familiarity with code and dependency scanning for source control, containers, and static analysis.
- Experience using Artifactory in software delivery lifecycle activities.
- Experience defining Terraform infrastructure for AWS services including EC2, RDS, EKS, Lambda, S3, EFS, Managed Kafka, ELB, and Route 53.
- Experience executing Terraform through CI/CD pipelines in a corporate environment.
