Base Salary
$135k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable ETL pipelines for large, diverse image datasets from tractor-mounted camera systems.
- Develop and deploy infrastructure for model training, evaluation, and inference in the cloud and on edge devices.
- Design and implement active-sampling infrastructure to improve data collection and model performance.
- Track computer-vision research and apply relevant model and architecture advancements.
- Integrate ML solutions into production robotics systems with a multidisciplinary team.
- Work with agronomists and farmers to translate crop biology and domain knowledge into actionable ML features.
- Support different parts of the software stack as a generalist engineer.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of real-world industry experience building production-grade data pipelines and ML infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with machine-learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Strong experience with Pandas, SQL, MLFlow, and WandB or comparable data-engineering tools.
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience working with massive amounts of real-world training data.
- Familiarity with MLOps software and data engineering for consistent ML-model deployment.
- Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and operate in a dynamic environment.
- Enthusiasm for taking on multiple roles and responsibilities as the company grows.
- Bonus: experience deploying and optimizing ML models on embedded compute such as NVIDIA Jetson.
- Bonus: experience prototyping, evaluating, or deploying new ML and computer-vision models on the edge.
