Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize scalable Python applications for complex business and regulatory data.
- Develop AWS solutions supporting highly available data pipelines and transaction workflows.
- Implement optimized PySpark jobs for large-scale data transformations.
- Create and refine PL/SQL procedures and queries for data integrity, regulatory reporting, and high-volume operations.
- Translate regulatory and governance needs into technical requirements with product owners and business stakeholders.
- Review development-team code and champion Python, AWS, and database best practices.
- Provide technical estimates and task breakdowns for sprint planning.
- Partner with cloud operations and security teams on deployments, monitoring, and incident response.
- Promote secure coding, encryption, and access-control patterns across Python services and AWS configurations.
- Analyze production issues, identify root causes, and deliver fixes that reduce recurring incidents and downtime.
- Document architectures, service interactions, and data flows for audit and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience developing Python applications and cloud-based solutions.
- Experience designing scalable, modular software for data-intensive applications.
- Experience with AWS solutions and cloud-based data pipelines.
- Experience implementing PySpark jobs for large-scale data transformation.
- Experience with PL/SQL procedures and queries.
- Ability to review code, estimate technical work, and collaborate with product, business, cloud operations, and security stakeholders.
- Knowledge of secure coding, encryption, access controls, deployment monitoring, incident response, and production troubleshooting.
