Responsibilities
- Own the technical roadmap for assigned areas, including technical debt, reliability, scalability, and security improvements.
- Design and implement robust backend systems with clean APIs and interfaces.
- Integrate with risk and mitigation systems to support regulatory compliance.
- Lead technical delivery for large-scale, organizationally complex projects and cross-team initiatives.
- Identify and solve ambiguous, high-impact problems using customer and business data.
- Build and improve scalable KYC, onboarding, verification, and compliance systems.
- Mentor engineers, share best practices, and contribute to a high-performing technical culture.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience working with software languages, asynchronous message queues, and highly scalable microservices.
- Experience with asynchronous message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Experience architecting and building highly scalable microservices.
- Strong product mindset and interest in customer experience and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and solve complex, ambiguous problems.
- Exceptional communication skills for explaining technical and architectural concepts to diverse audiences.
- Commitment to clean, testable, maintainable, and performant code, best coding practices, and rigorous code reviews.
- Proven ability to lead technical delivery for large-scale, organizationally complex projects.
- Extensive experience with relational and non-relational databases, query optimization, schema design, and sensitive-data lifecycle management.
