Base Salary
$235k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build scalable and reliable backend services, webhooks, and public-facing APIs.
- Write maintainable code that processes and evaluates real-time data signals at scale.
- Own medium-sized technical projects and design reliable, secure, and explainable system architectures.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and debug, operate, and maintain high-visibility systems.
- Collaborate with product teams to understand user pain points, build solutions, and inform the roadmap.
- Build automated systems and tooling for customer-experience instrumentation, measurement, and evaluation.
- Develop interactive frontend components, dashboards, and data reports using React and D3.js.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus three years of related Software Engineering experience, or a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent plus five years of progressive post-bachelor’s related experience.
- At least three years of experience with Java, Ruby, Python, and Go.
- At least three years of experience building scalable backend services, webhooks, and public-facing APIs.
- At least three years of experience designing, building, and deploying distributed production backend services with concurrency, fault tolerance, and service reliability at scale.
- At least three years of experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL data stores, including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling.
- At least three years of experience with stream processing or event-driven architectures using Kafka, Kinesis, or equivalent.
- At least three years of experience translating requirements into scalable, secure, maintainable designs with defined service boundaries, failure modes, and observability strategies.
- At least three years of experience building customer-experience instrumentation, signal collection, test automation, or quality evaluation systems.
- At least three years of experience developing interactive frontend components, dashboards, or data reports using React and D3.js.
