Base Salary
$114k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and implement scalable, resilient, highly available Python frameworks and applications.
- Develop solutions for stress testing, regulatory risk, and market risk projects.
- Build and secure RESTful APIs, distributed systems, integrations, and database-backed applications.
- Contribute to code quality through reviews and enforce software development lifecycle best practices.
- Use CI/CD, cloud, containerization, and Kubernetes technologies to support automated deployment.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize distributed systems for performance and reliability.
- Manage technical planning, governance, and ownership of project initiatives.
- Collaborate with Risk, Quants, Front Office, DevOps, Production Support, and other global teams.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of hands-on application development experience, primarily with Python.
- Expert proficiency in Python 3.x and advanced knowledge of FastAPI, Django, Flask, object-oriented programming, software architecture, and distributed system design.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, and advanced SQL.
- Proven experience designing, developing, and securing RESTful APIs and integration patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, and Bitbucket Pipelines.
- Strong cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Pytest, unittest, automated testing, secure coding, application security, and OWASP Top 10.
- Advanced Git experience, including Bitbucket, GitHub, branching, and pull request workflows.
- Experience developing quantitative or calculation-intensive Python solutions and familiarity with risk methodologies and mathematical or financial modeling.
- Exposure to TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, AI development tools, agentic AI frameworks, and generative AI concepts.
- A bachelor's or university degree, or equivalent experience, is required; a master's degree is preferred.
- Preferred qualifications include Java exposure, Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, data warehousing, React, Angular, Vue.js, cloud or industry certifications, banking experience, and CFA or FRM certification.
