Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Java software components and modules for the Smart Energy platform.
- Contribute across the full service lifecycle, including design, build, and run.
- Prepare, shape, and support architecture decisions and optimizations.
- Ensure stable and reliable application operations and continuously improve operational processes, especially monitoring solutions.
- Analyze, resolve, and prevent production and stability issues.
- Maintain code quality, security, documentation, and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and optimize deployment pipelines, including Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with business departments, operations, architecture, service owners, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Completed degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional software development experience with Java and modern frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Strong experience developing distributed systems and microservices.
- Very good knowledge of software design patterns, API-oriented architectures, and highly available, scalable system landscapes.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, and/or Spark or Flink.
- Practical experience developing in cloud-native environments such as OpenShift or Azure.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, version control, automated testing, Clean Code, DevOps, SRE, and application support practices.
- Understanding of service-oriented architectures and modern operating models.
- Very good English skills at least at C1 level and good German skills at least at B2–C1 level.
- Knowledge of energy-industry processes, experience with regulated IT systems, and experience with Scrum or Kanban are advantageous.
