Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and automate security controls for cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
- Maintain, integrate, and scale cloud security posture management and vulnerability tooling.
- Investigate and remediate cloud infrastructure vulnerabilities through closure.
- Design and build access controls across cloud and Kubernetes environments using zero-trust principles.
- Partner with incident response teams to develop cloud infrastructure detections and analyze and mitigate security incidents.
- Develop security standards and guardrails and embed them into CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
- Translate ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR requirements into practical technical controls with compliance teams.
- Conduct architecture reviews, threat modeling, and code reviews to identify security risks.
- Lead cross-functional security projects from scoping and planning through completion.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in cloud security or security-focused infrastructure/DevOps engineering.
- Hands-on experience securing containerized environments and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of AWS and ideally GCP, plus infrastructure-as-code solutions.
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, for automation.
- Experience with cloud security posture management or similar security tooling.
- Ability to independently own problems and projects, work with minimal direction, and communicate clearly across teams.
- Experience across multiple clouds, especially AWS and GCP, is preferred.
- Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps/GitOps workflows is preferred.
- Threat modeling and security architecture review experience is preferred.
- Experience translating compliance requirements into technical controls is preferred.
- Contributions to security communities, open-source projects, or security research are preferred.
- Relevant security certifications, such as CKS, are preferred.
